1 ripe pineapple
100 g of sugar
500 g of water
With a sharp knife cut the pineapple peel and clean off the black spots.
Cut the pineapple into slices of moderate thickness and remove the hard crotch that is in the middle.
Put the water and sugar in the pot and boil for 5 minutes
Add the slices of pineapple, boil for 5 minutes, and turn off the fire.
Put them in a bowl and keep them in the fridge for 1 week.
If we want to keep the pineapple for a long time, put it in very well sterilized jars and close them well.
In a pot we put a clean cloth and top the jars upside down.
Cover them with water and boil for 15-20 minutes.
We turn off the fire, remove the jars from the pot, let them cool down, and when we can catch them, we tighten the lids very well.
Keep them in a refrigerator or in a cool place.
